Hotel Sercotel Alfonso VI, Toledo

What a terrific experience for a spur of the moment choice!

We stayed here on our first night in Spain. Toledo was kind of a last minute add-on for us, but we figured it would be worth spending a little more on a nice room after an overnight flight. Hotel Sercotel Alfonso VI did not disappoint. The room was beautiful and so charming! We even had a beautiful view of the cathedral.

We woke up well-rested, and on the way to breakfast found the dungeon banquet room. Make sure you look for it when you stay! The breakfast buffet was huge and had such a variety. Also be sure to try the fresh squeezed orange juice. My husband had 4 glasses to refuel his Vitamin C levels after the long flight.

Upon checkout, we asked if they’d be able to watch our bags as we explored the city and they happily agreed. What a terrific experience for a spur of the moment choice!

The only con was that the internet wasn’t very good
